Spring Training

February 23, 2010

The Reds first full squad work out was today and the first Spring training game is not until March 5.  Spring Training is at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona. Reds opening day is April 5, so don’t miss it!

The Reds seem like they’re going to be pretty good this year.  Especially with the new pitcher Aroldis Chapman, who is a lefty and can throw 100 mph.

The 12U Riverbats are in Spring Training, too.  We started the first week of January and I had my first catching lesson of the season on Saturday morning.  My catching coach, Adam, took two videos of me and posted them on YouTube.  This on is of Adam teaching me how to come up quick and position my feet and when I’m throwing.  And this one is of me trying to keep the pitch steady. I am working hard to improve my catching so I can help my team.  Go Bats!!!  Go Reds!!!
