It took 10 innings to knock the Riverbats out of the tournament!

We started at 8:00 this morning and didn’t finish until 11:00.  The Tampa Crush, with a lot of help from the ump, took 10 innings to beat us.  We battled for every hit, every base, every out.  Every played did their part.  There were some amazing catches in the field – Luke, G – incredible!  Alex was awesome behind the plate and threw a kid out at second.  J.D. had a clutch hit to tie the game!  Rooster had a clutch hit to keep us alive.  Wags had a lot of action at 3rd and held those base runners back. Cam saw a lot of action at first.  G turned a double play to Cam at 1st.  Nigel played some great innings short.  Johnny’s catching in extra innings was awesome.   It was great to see J. D. back on the field making plays at 1st.  Acuna, Nigel, Alex and I pitched and the ump made us earn every strike.  The game was tied 3-3 after 6 innings and we battled back and forth with the Crush until they ended up on top 5-4 in the bottom of 10.  What a way to end the tournament and the season.  WAY TO GO BATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
