SUPER BOWL XLIV WILL BELONG TO THE SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!

2010 February 7

The Saints will take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy today.  The Colts are a really good team but if Dwight Freeney doesn’t play that really hurts the pass rush, but even if he does play his ankle will bother him all game.  Drew Brees and the Saints offense are rockin’ this season and will put a lot of points in the board.  The  Colts do have a good defense but Brees can take what the defense gives him.  Payton Manning and Indianapolis’ offense can score on any defense.  As long as New Orleans’ defense can hold them off and the Saints keep scoring New Orleans will win.

GO SAINTS!      WHO DAT!!!!!!!!!!!

One down and 11 to go

2010 February 3

Last Friday night, I went to the Cleveland Cavs and Indiana Pacers game in Indy.  The Cavs obviously won with a score of 94-73 and it was awesome!  I went with my dad, my friend Trece and his mom, two little brothers and a friend, Nick and his dad and last but not least, my Ryan.  LeBron James had a sweet dunk and Shaquille O’Neal dominated because the Pacers have no big man.  It was my second NBA game, I went to another Pacers game a few years ago.  Thanks for an awesome Christmas gift, Mom and Dad!  One new year resolution down 11 to go.

Cincinnati Bengals 2009 Season Recap

2010 February 2

Week 1 - The Bengals lose to the Broncos on a crushing last play making the score 12-7.

Week 2 – Bengals handle the Packers with a score of 31-24 making their record 1-1.

Week 3- Bengals finally beat the Steelers with a score of 23-20 making their record 2-1.

Week 4 – A boring game but the Bengals won in overtime against the Browns with a score of 23-20 changing their record to 3-1.

Week 5 – Bengals are on a roll in the AFC north and they beat the Ravens 17-14.

Week 6 – Should have been an easy win but turned out to be a hard loss to the Texans with a score of 28-17.

Week 7 – Finally a blow out!! The Bengals kill the Bears 45-10 raising their record to 5-2.

Week 8 – Bye Week

Week 9 – Cedric Benson leads the Bengals to a record of 6-2 defeating the Ravens 17-7 – Chris Henry broke his arm in this game, too.

Week 10 – For the first time the Bengals defeated the Steelers twice in the AFC North Division match-up with a score of 18-12 and a record of 7-2.

Week 11 – A very disappointing loss to the Raiders 20-17 but the Bengals got lucky because Pittsburgh lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on the same day which kept the Bengals in the lead for the AFC North.

Week 12 – Bengals sweep the AFC North defeating the Browns 16-7 and taking their record to 8-3.

Week 13 – The Bengals took advantage of an easy win and beat the Lions 23-13.

Week 14 – The Vikings crushed the Bengals 30-10 and their record became 9-4.

Week 15 – Another loss on the road, this time at the hands of the Chargers 27-24

Week 16 - It was a close game but in the end the Bengals beat Kansas City, 17-10.

Week 17 – The Bengals didn’t want to win and succeeded, losing to the Jets 37-0, taking their record to 10-6.

Week 18 – Play-offs – A disappointing, season-ending loss to the Jets with a score of 24-14.

The Bengals ended the season with 10 wins and 6 losses.  2009 was a better season than 2008 but I expect better in 2010.  Injuries hurt us – Reggie Kelly, Chris Henry, Antwan Odom,  Ray Maualuga – we missed them all.  I hope our offense comes alive next season.  Our defense is one of the best in the league but our offense needs to score more points to bring home more wins.  I hope we draft Golden Tate, the wide receiver from Notre Dame, or another good wide receiver.  We need another big play guy to help Carson Palmer and Chad Ochocinco bring the offense alive.  I’m looking for big things in 2010.  2009 was a great season to be a Bengals fan.  Go Bengals!  WHO DEY!!!!!

Championship Sunday

2010 January 24

Peyton Manning and the Colts are going to beat Mark Sanchez and the Jets 24 to 10.  Manning is going to throw two touch downs to Dallas Clark and Pierre Garcon.  Joseph Addai will run in the first touchdown for the Colts.  The Jets will score but not enough to keep up with the Colts offense.  I hate to admit it, but the Colts will be in the Super Bowl.

The Saints and Vikings game is a lot harder to call.  I believe Drew Brees and the Saints will beat Brett Favre and the Vikings 30 to 24.  New Orléans’ offense is going to come ready to play.  Brees and Reggie Bush are going to be leaders and take control of the offense to make sure they score more points than the Vikings.  Brett Favre will make it an interesting game, especially because this just may be his last NFL game.  But then again I thought he was done last season.  The Saints defense should be able to match the Vikings offense.  Whether the Saints or the Vikings make it to the Super Bowl, I will be rooting for them against the Colts.  Sorry Colts fans but I’m sick of hearing it.  Since I can’t cheer “Who Dey” I’ll just have to yell “WHO DAT!”  Go Saints!

Check Out my Brett Favre Rookie Card . . .

When I was born my parents got me a Brett Favre rookie card from Topps Stadium Club.  Favre’s last name is spelled wrong on the card – it is spelled Farve.  I bet Topps knows how to spell Favre NOW!  On this card Favre is playing for the Atlantic Falcons.

My mom took me to Perfect North Slopes last Friday and taught me how to ski.  My friend Luke came along but he snowboarded.  Skiing is so fun.  I did great for my first time skiing.  I learned really fast.  We went down the bunny hill twice and moved right on to the green hill.  We went down the green hill a few times and I was ready to move to blue.  My favorite thing about skiing is how fast I went down the hills.  My mom’s got some skiing skills!

Where Dey?????

2010 January 12

I went to the Bengals play-off game and it was a cold, fun game – until the end!  There are a ton of reasons why the Benglas lost the play-off game to the Jets but here are four that stand out to me as problems we’ve had all season; coaching, Carson Palmer, turn-overs and Shayne Graham.

Our offensive coordinator has no creativity whatsoever.  The Jets offensive coordinator had pretty good plays that tricked the whole Bengals defense.  In the end, the success of the offensive play-calling showed on the scoreboard.  And the scoreboard showed me who was a better play-calling coach, too.

Palmer couldn’t hit the bright side of a barn on Saturday.  He was throwing the ball ten feet over the wide receivers heads.  What he’s doing wrong is so simple, favoring his knee and throwing off his back foot.  Until Palmer corrects his mechanics he’s never going to take the Bengals to the next level.

Graham can’t even show his face anywhere in Cincinnati!  He is supposed to have the fifth best kicking accuracy in the league.  It makes no sense that he missed a 28 yard and a 35 yard field goal.  I know making the field goals wouldn’t have won the game but it might have gotten the Bengals fired-up.

Another reason the Bengals lost was turnovers.  The Bengals has two and the Jets had none.  Turnover lose big games and we lost this week.

WHERE DEY??????

The Bengals Play-off Game

2010 January 10

I’m going to my first play-off game today.  Carson Palmer, Cedric Benson and the defense have to lead the team and play their hardest.

Palmer has to hit his wide receivers in stride and ear out the defensive backs.  Chad Ochocinco can’t get too cocky and play terrible because Revis is a really good corner.  Also, the Jets defense is ranked number one and Palmer is going to make them look stupid.

Benson didn’t get to play against the Jets last week so he is going to come ready to play.  #32 has to be a factor up the middle and outside.  Benson needs to leave everything on the field just like he has all year.  The O-line has to open holes for Benson so he can get easy yards.

I think the defense will shut down the Jets running and throwing game.  The Jets wild cat might have worked last week but not this week.  Mark Sanchez is a rookie and he is no match for Jonathan Joseph.  I see the Bengals having a lot of picks.

I know the Bengals are going to the second round of the play-offs  Go Bengals!  Who Dey!

Time to break this losing streak!

2009 December 27

The Bengals can and will beat the Chiefs today.  All of the Bengal players are going to come ready to play.

Carson Palmer is going to be a leader and take control of this game.  He will also hit receivers in stride and let the receivers do their job.  Palmer needs to use his feet when no one is open.

Cedric Benson is going to blow through the Kansas City’s defense.  The offensive line needs to create big holes for Benson and he will take advantage of them.  When we go to play action pass, #32 needs to sell the fake to give Palmer more time in the pocket.

Cincinnati’s defense is going to handle Kansas City’s offense and have at least two picks.  Dhani Jones need to bring a big game like he did last week against the Chargers.  The defensive backs have to control Dwayne Bow and the rest of the Chiefs receivers and hold them to no big gains.

My dad went to the game today so let’s make it a good one!  Go Bengals!  Who Dey!
